Ecoinomy & Deborah help to save the planet
Ecoinomy has developed a way of motivating employees to save money for their employers by reducing waste and carbon dioxide. Employees are incentivised by the knowledge that their organisation will give some of the money they save back to local community causes and charities as well as to the employees themselves. Ecoinomy call their product the eco.system and it works over the internet in much the same way as social networking.
The things employees might want to save for include new whiteboards for a local school, some new kit for their children’s Saturday morning football club, or they might want to give money to a local charity that isn't big enough to attract large donations.
Whatever it is, their employer enlists them in the eco.system and all they have to do in return is make a few small choices such as printing in black and white rather than colour. Taking the train rather than a plane. Or, simply turning the lights off at the end of the day. All of these things save their employer money. And in return they give some of that back as a reward.
Ecoinomy believe that if just 5% of employees in the UK use the eco.system it could generate more money for charity than Comic Relief. Interested? Deborah is, which is why she is an investor and Chairman.
