Deborah and the Roundhouse

The Roundhouse

In 2009 Deborah joined the board of the Roundhouse, a landmark Grade II* listed building in north London with a rich history of groundbreaking performances by taboo-busting theatre artists and rock & roll legends.

From modest Victorian beginnings to legendary cultural venue, the Roundhouse in Camden, north London, has an enviable heritage. Today, it gives young people a chance to realise their creative potential and offers audiences of all ages new and extraordinary experiences in live music, theatre, dance, circus and new media.

Roundhouse logoRecent highlights include performances by world-renowned companies like the RSC, up-and-coming ones such as Look Left Look Right, Mercury Prize winners Elbow, 'living legends' Bob Dylan and Grace Jones, CircusFest, an eclectic contemporary circus festival, and David Byrne's Playing the Building which defies categorisation.

Young people are at the heart of the Roundhouse. They're on the board, help plan and perform at events, and develop their creative talents in state-of-the-art media labs, production suites and rehearsal rooms.

The Roundhouse is a registered charity. If you'd like to support their artistic programme or creative and educational opportunities for young people, there a variety of ways to get involved, whether you're an individual, business, trust or foundation.
