Surviva Jak™ survives the Den & comes away with Deborah's investment

Deborah invests in Surviva Jak, the emergency heat reflective jacket, in Episode 7, Series 8  of Dragons' Den.

 

The Surviva Jak is an updated take on the aluminium foil survival blanket. Combining space age technology and performance with practicality it is a unique survival jacket designed to prevent hypothermia and shock whilst allowing unrestricted movement and heat generation. 

 

The Surviva Jak comes vacuum-packed, folded up to the size of a pack of playing cards and enables the wearer to generate essential body heat through movement and perform potentially life saving tasks such as pitching a tent. In fact, whether it's running, cycling or skiiing, almost any activity is possible with Surviva Jak.

 

Deborah offered £75,000 for a 45% stake in the company. Deborah said about Letitia and Alex from Surviva, "after a bumpy start they began to win me over as their story is pretty impressive, they are both clearly smart, they come across as straightforward and are certainly capable, and in the end that shone through."
