Angela Newman (also known as Angel Adoree), founder of The Vintage Patisserie has secured Deborah's backing in Episode 2, Series 8 of Dragons' Den.
The Vintage Patisserie offers fabulous tea parties complete with vintage maids, a fantastic array of treats served on vintage china and themed activities. The aim is to transport guests to a magical, golden era where fabulous customer service and attention to detail are a way of life. In addition, an online design store allows customers to customise gorgeous bespoke gifts including chocolates, cakes and clothing and have them delivered to loved ones beatifully packaged.
Deborah and Theo offered £100,000 between them for a 40% share in the business. Deborah said about the investment, “Angela comes across as the genuine article...not just someone who dresses up in vintage clothes, but someone who really lives the life and is totally plugged into the mood. Under the sweeping 1940's eyelashes is a very smart girl who knows what she wants and is prepared to work very hard to get it.”
