Reestore
Contemporary environmentally friendly furniture
Business description
Reestore is one of the UK’s leading designers of contemporary environmentally friendly furniture. They take everyday waste objects and cheekily turn them into some of the most stylish, original and desirable eco furniture and accessories available today. Reestore avoid traditional eco materials in favour of contemporary finishes, fabrics and above all style. Environmental consideration does not compromise the aesthetics and desirability of Reestore’s products, as they believe that eco should be cool and stylish too. Products include ‘Silvana’ a washing machine drum turned into a charming side table with internal light and ‘Ben the Bin’ which promotes recycling of domestic waste and multiple-use of plastic and biodegradable bags.

Deborah’s reasons for investing
Max is a real character with bags of creativity and enthusiasm, this came over well in his pitch. I loved his environmentally friendly furniture products and saw real potential in Ben the Bin, an iconic and nifty recycling solution. The whole environmental angle is great for both personal reasons and because this area holds massive potential in the coming years.
What’s happened since they appeared in the Den?
Pre Dragons’ Den Reestore was little more than a hobby fuelled by passion and belief rather than profit. Since going on the show they have been able to invest in tools, move into a workshop, employ staff and most importantly develop and improve the environmentally friendly furniture to a much higher standard. The knowledge and contacts provided by Deborah and Theo have proved priceless in terms of door opening and increasing the professionalism of the business in general.
Since appearing on the Den Max and Reestore have gone global with enquiries for his furniture from as far afield as Taiwan and America, with a number of magazines, websites and television programmes featuring the products as THE items to buy when looking for stylish, functional and eco-friendly furniture.
Latest update from Max
Our latest news is that 'ben the bin', fist seen as a prototype on Dragons' Den, has just launched in the UK and even has it's own website www.benthebin.com. My other exciting news is that our furniture, including the 'Annie' shopping trolley chair and 'Max' the bath tub chaise, are now on show and available to buy from the furniture department of Selfridges' flagship store in London's Oxford Street.
Since I braved the den my feet haven’t touched the ground, but working with Deborah has not been nearly as scary as expected! Without tarnishing the dragonesque persona, she is very approachable, extremely knowledgeable and understands the obstacles faced by smaller businesses. It has been an absolute pleasure working with her and I look forward to being able to reward her for her efforts through Reestore’s success.
