Deborah’s reasons for investing
Jerry and Paul were a little nervous so the pitch wasn’t the slickest I’ve seen but there was something about them I liked and most importantly I trusted and believed in them. They also knew their marketplace inside out and could show evidence of demand. Finally, because the environment is something I feel very passionate about it was a perfect fit all round.
What’s happened since they appeared in the Den?
Since appearing on Dragons’ Den and securing the investment from Deborah and Theo the environmentally friendly haulage company has been able to increase its fleet to twelve vehicles. Interest in the business has also increased and talks are currently underway with a number of companies who saw the programme. On the back of Theo and Deborah's involvement they have also been liaising with some large blue chip companies regarding the provision of a collection and delivery service. JPM has also been touring the UK and Ireland transporting a herd of 13 life-sized elephants made from topiary for the 'elephant family' charity to raise awareness of the plight of the Asian elephant.
Latest update from Paul & Jerry
We’re looking to the future with a lot of optimism and know that this year we will sign some very good contracts and increase our fleet by a sizeable margin. The help and guidance from Deborah has been invaluable and we believe we can all look forward to a very profitable ongoing business relationship.
